Installing & using the mobile app

Advantage of the mobile app

The mobile app enables access to all relevant project data even outside the office, for example directly on the construction site. PDF plans with plan sections and journal entries can also be made available without an internet connection. Tasks & topics, Journal entries for defects and documentation, Documents or Controls & inspections can be viewed, edited or created new from any location. This supports smooth communication and documentation directly on location. Intuitive gesture control and the familiar buildagil layout make operation particularly user-friendly. The app offers easy navigation and quick access to project content.

Offline availability in the mobile app

The app supports offline use in various divisions. This means that content can also be viewed and recorded without an internet connection, e.g. On the construction site.

Record journal entries offline

Entries can be created even if there is no connection. Synchronization can be repeated as soon as there is an Internet connection again. The prerequisite is that the project has been pinned beforehand. Further information can be found in the article: Creating journal entries.

Use documents offline

Documents saved as favorites can be used offline. Changes are automatically recognized and synchronized. For example, PDF plans can be made available offline in advance so that they are available should there be no internet connection on the construction site. Further information can be found in the article: Favorites.

Create plan sections offline

If a PDF plan has been saved as a favorite, plan sections can also be created without an Internet connection. For example, when recording defects in the journal entry, sections can be set in the plan directly on location and provided with markings or comments. The entry is linked to the plan and is fully available after synchronization. Further information can be found in the following article: Creating plan sections.

Gesture control

In the mobile app, many actions can be carried out quickly and intuitively, e.g. By swiping or long pressing. This speeds up navigation and simplifies working on mobile devices.

Navigation and control by swiping

With a swipe to the right or left, you can switch between information and comments in tasks & topics and journal entries.

If an element is open, it can be closed or minimized by swiping downwards. The element is minimized and ends up in the quick selection when swiping down to the left. Swiping down to the right closes the element. If the element is being edited and is closed, a message appears asking whether the changes should be saved.

In the folder structure and in lists, you can switch to the previous view by swiping to the right.

Activate advanced options with a long press

To display additional options for an element in the mobile app, you can press and hold on an element in addition to the options. For example, in the project overview or in the documents.

Automatic scrolling to the top of the list

If a navigation button that has already been selected is clicked again, the view automatically scrolls back to the beginning of the list.

Quick access to the search function

Double-click on a navigation button in the tasks and projects to directly open the search in the selected division.
