Revit app

The following article describes how to use the Revit app: Model Editing with Revit.

System Requirements: System Requirements for CAD Apps

Installing the Revit app

The Revit app can be installed on a per-device basis and is available only for Windows.

Download the buildagil Revit 25 app
Download the buildagil Revit 26 app

When you download the file, a ZIP file will be downloaded, which must first be extracted. We recommend saving this file to the Revit Add-Ins folder. Example paths:

C:\Users\hans.muster\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2025

C:\Users\hans.muster\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2026

To display the "AppData" folder from the example paths, you must enable the "Hidden items" option in File Explorer.

It is important to first extract the ".addin" file and the folder it contains from the ZIP file and then save them to the correct Revit add-in folder.

After that, you can launch Revit. When you open it, the following message should appear: "This signed add-in has been found. What do you want to do?" You can confirm this message by selecting "Always Load" so that the Revit app is loaded.

The Revit app can now be opened from the "Add-Ins" section in Revit.
