Creating a New Task

New tasks can be created in several places in buildagil. The "New" button is available for this purpose on the Personal home page.



Within a project, you can add a new task by clicking "Create" in the "My Tasks" or "All Tasks" division.



You can also explore the options for a Documents or Folders. The respective file or folder is automatically linked in the task description.



In Task Board, you can create a new task directly for a specific day of the week.



In addition, you can create tasks directly from a document. Depending on the document type, a Plan section or a Model View can be added directly.

Editing the Title & Categories

When creating a task, you can assign a title that briefly and clearly describes the task. In addition, you can select one or more categories to classify the task by topic. This information helps you later search for tasks specifically Search and filter.



Editing the Details & Checklist

Content, notes, or links can be added to the task description. Documents and folders from the project can be linked directly to supplement the task with relevant information. Attachments can also be uploaded from your own device. If necessary, Plan Sections can be added. In the mobile app, you can also add images and videos directly using the built-in camera or your device’s camera. For more information, see the following article: Taking Photos in the Mobile App.



To improve organization, you can add checklist items. These help break the task down into individual steps that can be completed and checked off one by one. Checklist items can also include links, for example, to connect to other tasks and keep track of their status at a glance.



Editing Assignments & Planning

The task can be assigned to a responsible person. This person is responsible for editing and completing the task. In addition, other people can be designated for collaboration who should be notified of changes and comments. Using the options, you can also assign entire Teams or Contact Groups groups can be selected and added. Furthermore, a due date can be set or an existing one can be selected via the Task planning button. This ensures that the task is completed on time.

Editing the Coordination

If necessary, the task can be assigned to a Meeting so that it can be discussed or documented there in the appropriate context.



Save & Assign the Task

A task can be saved as a draft at any time while creating or editing it. The participants are not yet notified of the new task at this point. When the task is completed by clicking "Save & Assign," the participants are notified via Reporting Center.
