Editing Journal Entries

The visibility and permissions for journal entries are described in the following article: Visibility & Permissions for Journal Entries.

Editing Journal Entries

Journal entries are displayed in the "My Journal Entries" or "All Journal Entries" list in the project according to the Create format.

To edit a specific journal, you can open it first.

Here, you can edit the title, categories, classification, and details related to the involved company. In the details section, you can also add or remove additional attachments, such as documents or links.

For the date, you can adjust both the date and the time the photo was taken.

Photos and videos can be added or removed later directly from the project or from the device. You can also add or edit an image description to provide additional information about the image. The description will then also be visible in the Media library.

In addition, during assignment and planning, you can adjust the person responsible and the due date. In the coordination phase, the journal entry can be added to additional meetings.

Via The comments, you can also select Contact Groups or Teams can also be selected, allowing you to select all assigned people via the quick selection to send a notification to a specific group of people.

Using the options, you can copy the link to the journal entry, Visibility, and view the revision history, Observed the element, Personal tasks created, Exported and the journal is copied, created as Template or Deleted.

Closing Journal Entries

Journal entries go through different statuses depending on their assignment, making their processing status immediately apparent. If no responsible party and no due date are set, the journal entry automatically receives the status “Archived,” regardless of its classification (documentation, defect, or incident). An archived journal entry can only be edited again once a responsible party and a due date have been assigned. Once a responsible party and a due date have been assigned, the journal entry can be completed by clicking the square icon. This sets the journal entry’s status to “Completed,” and it can be reopened with the same click.
