Displaying Deleted Items

Deleted items are moved to the project's recycle bin and remain there for up to 90 days before being permanently deleted. The following content and settings can be viewed.

If the item is no longer in the recycle bin, please contact Support.

The overview displays the following information for each item: the name (including the additional original path for documents), the deletion date, the person who deleted the item, the person who originally created the item, the item size, and the remaining retention period. You can use the search function to search by name, creator, or deleter.

The Quick Select feature also allows you to switch between all deleted items and only those deleted by the current user.

Only items that are visible to the respective user are displayed in the recycle bin. For more information, see the following article: Visibility & Permissions for Project Information & Settings.

Recovering Deleted Items

Deleted items can be restored to their original location as long as they are in the recycle bin. Individual items can be restored using the three-dot menu or by right-clicking on the item. To restore multiple items, select them individually. By holding down the "Shift" key, you can also select the first and last items in a division, which automatically selects all items in between. When multiple items are selected, an option appears that allows you to restore the selected items together or cancel the selection. Users can only restore items they have deleted themselves. Project administrators can restore any items in the recycle bin, regardless of who deleted them.

Recovery in the Event of Missing Structure or Name Conflicts

When restoring a folder or document, the system checks whether the original path still exists. If the required folder structure is missing, the user can make a decision about whether the missing folders should be created automatically during the restoration process.

If an element with the same name already exists at the destination, the name is automatically adjusted to avoid a conflict (e.g., "xyz (1).pdf"). Tasks, topics, and categories can appear multiple times with identical names, so renaming is not necessary for these elements.

Missing folder during restoration, automatically create folder structure, original path does not exist, name conflict during restoration, duplicate name, automatic renaming, destination folder does not exist, conflict during restoration, item already exists, restoration failed
