Model Viewer / BIM Extensions

Coloring Elements
Elements can be colored as desired. To do this, you can select models, submodels, objects, classes, or individual elements and assign them the desired color.

Trade Show Expansions
If the "Snap" option is enabled, corners and edges are automatically detected when creating measurements.
You can temporarily disable snapping by pressing the CTRL key.

Measurement lines are saved when creating Views and BCF / Model Tasks and can thus be shared or accessed again later.

Dimension lines are displayed in an optimized 3D view if they are obscured or cut.

Optimizing the Object and View Explorers
The Object Explorer has a new design to make it easier to edit models and model assemblies.
Among other things, models can now be sorted and renamed.

The same applies to the views, which can also be organized and renamed.

Selecting multiple elements:
If you press the CTRL key while selecting elements in the model or in the Object Explorer, you can select multiple models/submodels, objects, classes, or individual elements at the same time. The selected elements can then be isolated or highlighted, for example.

Links in Model Properties
Links in model properties / IFC attributes are recognized and can be clicked directly in the model viewer. This makes it possible, for example, to link a model element to a plan.

Optimized Navigation

  • If you hold down the CTRL key while zooming in the model, you can navigate through the model more slowly and precisely.
  • Navigating the model using the WASDQE keys has been simplified and optimized.

Advanced Display Options

  1. Dynamic navigation optimization adjusts the model's display to match the device's performance, ensuring smooth navigation.
  2. Reducing overlap can help improve the display and prevent flickering in areas where elements overlap.
  3. The "Color Transparency" option displays transparent objects in their original color.

Display of 2D elements:
With support for IFC annotations, 2D elements such as dimensions, text, lines, etc., can be displayed in the 3D model.

Depiction of Materials and Textures
GLB models can now be displayed with new textures.

Data Analysis with Power BI

Using the Power BI interface, data from buildagil can be collected, analyzed, visualized, and presented in informative reports and dashboards.
This interface allows you to retrieve elements such as tasks, users, and documents from buildagil and process them further.

One example of this is the project overview below, which illustrates what a detailed analysis of project progress based on tasks might look like.

In addition, the Power BI interface allows you to combine data from multiple projects. This makes it possible, for example, to create a comprehensive overview of all employees' tasks.

For detailed information and additional examples regarding the Power BI interface, see the following article: Power BI Connector
