Installing the Vectorworks app

The Vectorworks app can be installed on a per-device basis.

Windows:
Download the buildagil Vectorworks app 2025 for Windows
Download the buildagil Vectorworks app 2026 for Windows

When you download the file, a ZIP file will be downloaded, which must first be unzipped. We recommend saving this file to the Vectorworks Application Plugins folder. Example path:

C:\Users\hans.muster\Nemetschek\Vectorworks\<Version>\Plug-Ins

To display the "AppData" folder from the example paths, you must enable the "Hidden items" option in File Explorer.

It is important to first extract the folder from the ZIP file and then save it to the Plugins folder.

Mac:

When you download the file, a ZIP file will be downloaded that needs to be extracted. For Mac, the ZIP file contains a ".bundle" file. We recommend saving this file to the Archicad Add-Ons folder. Example path:

/Library/Application Support/Vectorworks/<Version>/Plug-Ins

After that, you can launch Vectorworks. To ensure that buildagil appears in the menu bar, you must first add it to the menu.

To do this, you can customize the work environment in the "Extras" menu tab and add buildagil to the toolbar. In the example, the plugin is added under "Extras."

After that, buildagil can be opened in Vectorworks.
