Set Up Model Replacement

Models and documents stored in buildagil can be synchronized with Trimble Connect using the "Trimble Connect Sync" program.

To sync with Trimble, launch Trimble Connect Sync and open the sync settings under Advanced.

You can then define new synchronization rules using Add Sync Schedule.

Synchronization Settings:

1. Title for the synchronization rule
2. Synchronization Direction: We recommend selecting “Upload Only” to ensure that the new data is always transferred from buildagil to Trimble.
3. Synchronization Frequency: Specify how often synchronization should be executed. During regular synchronization, the system checks for new models or new model versions, which are then synchronized. Please note that the device on which the synchronization rule is executed must be turned on at the specified time; otherwise, execution of synchronization cannot take place.
4. Select the folder for synchronization in OneDrive.

Synchronization is now set up and its execution will occur regularly at the scheduled time.
To execute an initial synchronization manually, click Sync.

The automatic exchange of model tasks between Trimble and buildagil has been deliberately omitted, as this would result in duplicate data sets and potentially lead to parallel editing of model tasks in different systems. This would compromise the existence of a single, authoritative data source and, consequently, central control and traceability within the project. This, in turn, would result in additional coordination and data reconciliation efforts.
