Merging models
It is possible to merge several models into one BAM file. This involves linking to the respective submodels. One advantage of this merging is that when individual models are updated, the merged model is also updated automatically. This reduces the amount of manual maintenance required and allows large models to be edited through targeted subdivision. Model mergers can be used to merge several models and/or plans and save views.
To merge models, you can first open a model that is to be combined with other models. The desired models can then be selected from the documents via "Add". The model combination can then be saved. It is also possible to add PDF plans to a model. Further information can be found in the following article: Overlay of plans & models.

The models and plans can then be moved using drag & drop. The options can be used to rename models and plans, open them directly or remove them from the compilation.

Saving model combinations
Once a model or plan has been added, the compilation can be saved, downloaded or copied. When saving, the desired file name can be entered and the storage location selected. The compilation is then saved as a ".bam" file. Alternatively, the model compilation can be copied and then pasted into Tasks & topics or comments with "CTRL + V". This simplifies the loading of models for individual tasks & topics and their use at the desired location.

Export BAM file, insert model copy, task linking, model transfer, share model compilation
Editing models, objects & elements
By expanding the model tabs, the increasingly smaller levels of the model structure are displayed. The objects can also be searched and filtered. Further information can be found in the following article: Filter & search models.

The "eye symbol" can be used to show and hide models, objects or elements.

You can also switch between the model and type structure (IfcType).

The following roles are available via the options of the models or elements:
- Displaying metadata / IFC attributes
- Focus the camera view on the selected object
- Isolate the selected object (everything except the selected object is hidden)
- Coloring
- Show object transparent (makes the selected object transparent)
- Hide object
- Hide remaining objects
- Remaining objects transparent (all except the selected object becomes transparent)
- Show all objects
- Select object

Multiple selection of elements:
If the CTRL key is pressed when selecting elements in the model or in the object explorer, several models or submodels, objects, classes or individual elements can be selected at the same time. The selected elements can then be isolated or colored, for example.

Change type structure, multiple selection in the model, display IFC attributes, object transparency, model structure navigation, element filtering
Display metadata / IFC attributes
The metadata of elements can be displayed in the model viewer. To display the object information, right-click on the desired element and then open the information display.

Links in the model properties (IFC attributes) are recognized and can be clicked directly in the model viewer. This makes it possible, for example, to link a model element to a plan. Links can be added to the model in an authoring program.

IFC data access, display object information, attribute display, metadata integration, element information, model-to-plan linking
Coloring models
Model elements can be colored as desired. An entire model, an object, a class or an individual element can be selected and then assigned the desired color. To save colorings, a Model view can be created.
