Exchange model tasks with Archicad

Advantage of exchanging model tasks

With the Archicad integration, model tasks can be viewed from buildagil and the corresponding model section can be opened directly in Archicad or via the integration in buildagil. This allows model adjustments to be made more efficiently, as the appropriate view does not have to be searched for manually.

The Archicad integration is currently still being introduced on buildagil. As this is a development stage, there may still be changes until the general release.

Download & Installation

The integration can be activated on a device-by-device basis. Archicad 28 or new is required to use model tasks via the Archicad integration. An ".apx" file is downloaded for Windows and a ".bundle" file for Mac.

It is recommended to save the file in the following folder:

C:\Program Files\Graphisoft\Archicad 28\Add-Ons

In Archicad, the Add-On Manager can be opened via the "Extras" menu.

The option "Use designated add-on directory" must be activated here so that the file is loaded correctly from the folder.

The changes must then be saved and Archicad restarted.

Important: This step must not be skipped.

After successful installation, the integration appears in the list of available add-ons in the add-on manager.

In addition, the new buildagil tab is displayed in Archicad. This can be used to log in to buildagil. This can now be opened to log in to buildagil To register.

As the role is still being introduced, Preview version must be activated in the integration.

Settings

To determine the model position, the survey point must be defined in the add-on settings. You can choose between "Project Origin" and "Survey Point".

To define the position of an Archicad model and enable coordination with other programs, the survey point must be set in the project.

  • Project origin (Project Origin):

Fixed zero point (0,0,0) of the coordinate system in the Archicad project. This remains unchanged for the entire duration of the project.

  • Survey point:

Reference point for determining the exact position and height of the model in the real world. Important for collaboration with other programs that also use a global reference point.

In addition, the add-on can be restarted in the settings.

Editing model tasks

Model tasks from a project can be opened and displayed directly in the integration. Model sections can also be opened directly in Archicad to land the saved view.
