The following article describes how the version history of a document works.

Show version history for documents


As soon as a change is made to a document, the version of the document changes. This makes it possible to display and Restore previous versions. By right-clicking on the document, the details & version history can be selected.



The complete change history is displayed here. If a file is overwritten, the older version remains available in the history. If an older version of a document is opened, it can be Restored.



Upload new document version


A new version is created when a document is stored in the same folder under the same name Uploaded or via drag & drop.



After drag & drop, confirm the pop-up message with Replace.



To replace the version, click on Overwrite when uploading.



Contents version history


Changes to the document content:
The version history of Word, Excel, IFC, PDF files etc. Is saved when changes are made to the document content.



Changes to categories and status:
Changes to Categories and the status are saved in the version history.



Tasks, information and topics for the document:
If a Task, information, topic or comment is created for the document, this is also saved in the version history.



Test tasks:
Creating and customizing Test tasks to a document are saved.



Send documents to external parties
Sending to external parties is displayed in the version history. If you click on it, more detailed Shipping information can be displayed.



Plot documents
If a document is plotted, this can be seen in the version history. Click to display more detailed Information about the plot order.
