Measure in the model
Various measurement functions are available for analyzing geometries and reviewing distances in the model. These enable precise evaluation directly in the model view. Measurements can be executed using the roles distance measurement, dimension measurement, distance measurement (ortho.), distance measurement (horiz./vert.) and point measurement. The results can be saved in Views and BCF / model tasks. Corners and edges are automatically recognized when the "Snap to" function is activated. This allows an opposite point to be selected at a right angle. The snap function can be temporarily deactivated by holding down the "CTRL key".
Distance measurement
Measures the distance between two points. Operation is simplified when the snap-in function is activated.
Dimension measurement
Determines the dimensions of an area.
Distance measurement (ortho.)
Measures the distance at right angles from one surface to the next.
Distance measurement (horiz./vert.)
Determines the distance horizontally or vertically, regardless of the orientation of the surface.
Point measurement
Displays the coordinates of a single point.
Dimension lines can be deleted with "Delete measurements".

The magnification can be activated via a slider or displayed by holding down the "ALT" key.

Creating cuts
Cuts can be created in the model to improve visibility and for targeted analysis of internal areas. These enable a focused display of specific model areas. A cut can be created using the cut role and then selecting the desired area in the model. The alignment is carried out automatically along the selected area. A Model view can be used to save a view with a cut.
The following roles are available for editing cuts:
- Cut area (move the arrows to move the cut)
- Add a new cut
- Hide cuts (hides the cut areas)
- Deactivate cuts
- Remove / delete cuts
- Engage cut along axis
- Activate magnification
Cuts can also be set along an edge, line or axis. The "Snap" role must be activated for this.
