Troubleshooting with visibility
Visibilities can be used to control and customize users' access to elements (folders, documents, tasks, journal entries, meetings, etc.).
The visibility of users on elements is controlled by the following properties:
Overarching role as project administrator, project coordinator or user (see Roles) as well as the role in the respective element
The approval of an element via the user's team assignment (see Team assignment)
The shield icon can be used to display the visibility of the teams for selected elements.

The visibility for selected teams can be set with the corresponding rights.

Restrict rights, authorization, access, write rights, view rights, visibility
The teams can either have full access or restricted access.
Full access means that new tasks & topics as well as journal entries are visible to this team by default (unless the visibility of the respective item is manually restricted when it is created).
Restricted access means that new tasks & topics are not visible to this team by default.
These access types have no effect on existing elements or folders & documents.
You can find more information about the team settings in the following article: Teams
To control which teams have access to which elements, there is a filter by visibility.
This filter is available under the documents, tasks, topics & in the journal.
The filter by visibility is only available for project administrators.
If the filter is activated, only the folders, documents, tasks & topics to which the selected teams have access are displayed.
