360° pictures

360° images are automatically recognized on buildagil if they are uploaded in the exact 2:1 aspect ratio. This allows them to be displayed directly in the preview. This ratio serves as a technical indicator that the image is a 360° image. Images with a different ratio are not displayed in 360° mode. The image can be navigated with the mouse.

Recommended image sizes are:

• 5376 x 2688 (standard for many cameras)
• 8192 x 4096 (recommended maximum)
• 4096 x 2048 (good compromise for faster loading times)

JPG is the recommended file type, as the compression achieves a good balance between high image quality and fast loading times in the browser, even at very high resolutions. If a local program that supports 360° image formats is installed on your own device, the files can alternatively be opened directly from buildagil via "Open in app". You can find more information on this in the following article: Open folders & documents in local program. 360° videos cannot be displayed in the web viewer for technical reasons.
