Links in the folder structure

Creating Shortcuts

Shortcuts can be used to create links to websites and to local and server-side folders and documents within the buildagil folder structure. A shortcut can be created by clicking "Create." Then, enter the name and path.

Creating Shortcuts from an Existing Document or Folder

A link can be created directly from an existing document. The name and path are automatically copied.

There are two ways to do this:
The "Create Shortcut" option is available in the context menu of a document, folder, or multiple selections. The shortcut is saved in the current folder.

If you copy a link to a document or folder from another project and paste it using CTRL+V, a dialog box appears offering the choice between "Copy" and "Create a shortcut."

Opening Shortcuts

Links to websites open immediately when clicked. For local or server-side links, a utility program must be installed. When you click such a link, a corresponding message appears. For more information on installing the buildagil Opener, see the following article: Installing the buildagil Opener.
