Importing Folders & Documents via Upload

Documents and folders can be uploaded directly to the buildagil document repository using the upload role. This is the default and easiest way to upload documents to buildagil. For more information on uploading documents, see the following article: Uploading Folders & Documents.


For data migrations involving large volumes of data, a structured and traceable import method is recommended. One possible solution is described in the following section: Importing Folders & Documents Using GoodSync.

Importing Folders & Documents via OneDrive

Alternatively, existing folder structures can be imported via a temporary OneDrive sync. This is particularly useful at the start of a project, when local folder structures containing many files need to be transferred to buildagil.


Due to OneDrive's file size limit, synchronization should only be set up temporarily for the import and then disconnected again. For more information on disabling synchronization, see the following section: Disabling OneDrive Sync.

Importing Folders & Documents Using GoodSync

With GoodSync, you can import folders and documents into buildagil easily and in an organized manner. This method is especially recommended for data migrations involving a large number of files.


Importing large amounts of data may cause the connection for the logged-in user to be temporarily throttled or interrupted, and individual files may need to be resynchronized. The throttling may also temporarily affect access to buildagil.


Data imports should preferably be performed overnight or on weekends, as bandwidth is higher and throttling is lower during these times.
