Edit PDF documents online
The following article describes how PDF documents can be edited directly in buildagil.

Open online edit
Select Edit online on the PDF to be edited or click on Edit online in the open PDF.
Display options
- Page navigation & layers
The following views are available in the page navigation:
1. Thumbnail view: Display of all pages of the PDF document
2. Structure: Structure of the existing elements
3. Layers: Display of the individual layers of the document (layers can be shown or hidden)

Various settings for displaying the document are available under the display options:
- Zoom options
Editing tools
- Moving the plan / element selection and editing
When an element is selected, the following options are available:
Create comments on this element / Edit element style / Delete element
Use the snap points to move / change the element.
Under Style, there are various options for editing the appearance of the selected element (e.g. Color, thickness, opacity, symbols, text size, etc.).

- Markings / highlighting (freehand)**
- Rectangles and circles
- Freehand drawing
- Lines and arrows
- Measure distances and areas
First, the scale of the plan can be set.
A preset scale can be used here or a new scale can be created.
After setting the accuracy, the new scale can be saved via Create.
The correct scale can then be used to create measurements of routes and areas.

Notes and comments
The annotation / comment column can be opened via the annotation symbol.
All elements of the PDF document are displayed here.
The elements can be commentated, edited and deleted here.
The Filter role can be used to sort and filter the elements according to various criteria.
Text search
Texts in the PDF document can be searched using the Search function.
Link to pages and notes in the PDF document
The link to a page and annotations (e.g. Comments, markers, rectangles etc.) in a PDF document can be copied and used in tasks, topics, journal entries and comments. This eliminates the need to search for the relevant location in large documents. For PDF documents, the role can be selected by right-clicking on the desired page.
For the annotations, the link can be copied when the annotation is selected.
