Customize visibility

When a journal entry is created, it is visible to Basic teams of participants (creator / responsible person / collaboration) and Basic teams in the project by default. The visibility can be adjusted both during creation and after creation using the shield icon By authorized users. The visibility can only be restricted to the extent that the journal entry is visible to all participants.



Adjusting the visibility of a journal entry does not affect the visibility of linked elements in the details / comments of the journal entry (e.g. Linked documents, photos, tasks, etc.).


If a participant (including the recipient of a comment) is added to a journal entry after it has been created, for whom it was previously not visible, a corresponding message appears to add the Basic team of the participant to the visibility. In this case, you can either accept the automatically adjusted visibility or select a different team so that the journal entry is visible to all participants.

(*) Linked elements can only be opened by a user if they are visible to that user. A corresponding message appears, which can be used to check which persons / teams are affected. For details on adjusting the visibility of the corresponding elements, see Visibilities & authorizations.



(**) Photos and videos that are taken via a journal entry and thus stored in the media library are visible to all users.

(***) Comments can only be deleted if they had no recipients and there are no new comments from other users.
