Activate OneDrive if required

OneDrive On-Demand can be used to save storage space. To do this, click on the OneDrive icon in the taskbar on the right, select Settings and activate Files on demand in the Settings tab. Further information Here.

Always keep on this device deactivate

With OneDrive, entire projects or individual folders can be downloaded. The new versions of the files are always stored on the local save. This is only useful if you need to access the data without an internet connection.
To reduce the amount of memory used, we recommend deactivating this option. You can tell that a project or folder is saved locally by the green icon.

The option can be deactivated with right-click / Always keep on this device. The green symbol will then also disappear.

Activate Windows memory optimization

Windows storage optimization allows you to set a time frame after which unused and locally stored files are deleted from OneDrive. The files are only deleted from the local save, but are still available online and via OneDrive.

Open the Windows settings and navigate to System / Save. Activate memory optimization there and click on Configure memory optimization....

Here, under Locally available cloud content, a time period can be set for each project after which the files are removed from the local save.
