Installation Revit App

The Revit app can be installed on a device-by-device basis and is only available for Windows.

Download buildagil Revit 26 App

When downloading, a ZIP file is downloaded, which must first be unpacked. It is recommended to save this file in the Revit add-in folder. Example paths:

C:\Users\hans.muster\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2025

C:\Users\hans.muster\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2026

In order for the "AppData" folder from the example paths to be displayed, the "Hidden elements" option must be activated in the Explorer.

It is important that the ".addin" file and the folder contained in the ZIP file are first unpacked and then saved in the correct Revit add-in folder.

Revit can then be started. When opening Revit, the following message should now appear "This signed add-in has been found. What do you want to do?". This message can be confirmed with "Always Load" so that the Revit app is loaded.

The Revit app can now be opened in the "Add-Ins" in Revit.

As the role is still being introduced, the Preview version activated must be used in the app.
