Extended folder designation
The following article describes how to use the extended folder designation.
With the extended folder designation, long folder names can be divided into "Designation" and "Extended designation". The "Extended name" is displayed after the "Name" and is not included in the folder / file path. Long paths can be shortened by using the "Extended name".
In the Project settings under Documents the selection under Extended folder name can be set to Yes to activate this role for the project.
If a new folder is then created or an existing folder is renamed, a field for the "Extended name" appears.
The name and the path then look like the following example:
