Users and external contacts can be hidden from the contact list. Hidden persons only remain visible to project administrators and can no longer be selected as a responsible person in tasks or as a participant in meetings. If a person has already been used in elements, they remain visible there regardless of this. Hiding is also an alternative to deleting, as users and contacts cannot be deleted for reasons of traceability.

Create views without hidden and deactivated users & contacts
For a better overview as a project administrator, an individual view can be created that excludes inactive and hidden users & contacts. This creates a focused view that is limited to the people who are currently relevant. This view can be saved as a favorite and thus be called up again in quick access. How to create a favorites view is described in the following article: Favorites view through filters.

For users and project coordinators, it is not necessary to create a filter view in this case, as hidden and inactive users & contacts are not displayed in the contact list. Further information on visibility can be found in the following article: Visibilities & authorizations of contacts & users.
