Adjusting Visibility

The visibility of a user or external contact can be adjusted both during and after creation using the "Hide from contact list" option By authorized users.


Contacts and users are generally visible to all users in the project. For details, see Visibility & Permissions in Detail.


Adjusting the visibility of a contact or user does not affect the visibility of that contact or user in elements where they are already used (e.g., as the person responsible for tasks and topics, as a participant in meetings, as an editor of documents, etc.).

Delete (***)





(*) Hidden contacts are generally visible only to project administrators and can no longer be used or selected in elements. However, if contacts have already been used in elements, they remain visible there regardless.
(**) Certain information cannot be edited if the contact is synchronized with global user management. In this case, only the user can update their contact information (see Customizing Your Personal Profile). The email address and company name cannot be changed under any circumstances.
(***) Contacts cannot be deleted to ensure traceability within the project.

(*) Project coordinators can only create users with the approval of a project administrator. For details, see User Approval.
(**) Hidden, pending approval, and inactive users are generally visible only to project administrators and can no longer be used or selected in elements. However, if users have already been used in elements, they remain visible there regardless.
(***) Certain information cannot be edited because the user is synchronized with global user management. In this case, only the user can update their contact information (see Customizing Your Personal Profile). The email address and company name cannot be changed under any circumstances.
