Advantages of plan sections
Plan sections make it possible to highlight relevant divisions in PDF plans and link them directly to Tasks & topics and Journal entries. For example, when a defect or task is created, a section can be created in the plan and supplemented with markings or comments. The entry is automatically linked to the plan, making the affected area immediately visible to all those involved. This simplifies communication, reduces queries and ensures that observations, defects or tasks are understood in the right context. The role is also available offline in Mobile app if the relevant plan was previously saved as Favorite.

Creating plan sections
Plan sections can be included in journal entries as well as any tasks & topics. They can be created directly via the role from a journal entry, via the options of a task or directly from a PDF plan.
Creating a plan section from a task / journal entry
A plan section can be created directly from a journal entry, a task or a topic. To do this, open the desired entry and select the "Plan section" role via the options in the Details or Description division. A PDF plan can then be opened and the desired division in the plan can be defined as a section. This is automatically inserted in the entry.

Alternatively, plan sections can be created directly from a plan. The plan is opened and a new section is created.
The section can then either be used to create a new task or journal entry or copied to the clipboard. The division of the plan section can be selected as a rectangle using the mouse.
After selection, a window opens for editing, in which the section can be supplemented with annotations and comments. You can find more information on the online editing tools for cut-outs in the following article: Online editing of PDF documents.
If the section is accepted, it is copied to the clipboard and can be pasted into any desired description or comment with "CTRL + V".

Collaboration with plan sections
Created plan sections can be opened and edited at any time. Clicking on the section or on the section options opens a menu with various actions. For example, you can open the plan source and navigate directly to the location in the document where the section was created. In addition, the section can be edited, copied, downloaded as an image or shared as a link. This allows the section to be used flexibly in further project communication.
