Installing the Vectorworks app

The Vectorworks app can be installed device by device.

Windows:

Download buildagil Vectorworks App 2025 for Windows

Download buildagil Vectorworks App 2026 for Windows

When downloading, a ZIP file is downloaded, which must first be unpacked. It is recommended to save this file in the Vectorworks application plugins folder. Example path:

C:\Users\hans.muster\Nemetschek\Vectorworks\<Version>\Plug-Ins

In order for the "AppData" folder from the example paths to be displayed, the "Hidden elements" option must be activated in the Explorer.

It is important that the folder from the ZIP file is first unpacked and then saved in the plugins folder.

Mac:

When downloading, a ZIP file is downloaded, which must be unpacked. For Mac, the ZIP contains a ".bundle" file. It is recommended to save this file in the Archicad add-ons folder. Example path:

/Library/Application Support/Vectorworks/<Version>/Plug-Ins

Vectorworks can then be started. In order for buildagil to be displayed in the menu bar, it must first be added to the menu.

To do this, the working environment can be customized in the Extras menu tab and buildagil can be added to the bar. In the example, the plugin is added in the Extras.

Afterwards, buildagil can be opened in Vectorworks.

As the role is still being introduced and can therefore be used buildagil in Vectorworks, the Preview version must be activated.
