Registration / Login

Registration / Login

When you register for the first time, you must first accept the invitation to buildagil. A description can be found in the following article: Accept invitation

After accepting the invitation, buildagil can be opened in the browser via Https://app.buildagil.com or accessed via a project link. Then log in with your e-mail address and password.

After successful login you will be redirected to the Project start page.

Troubleshooting during login

If the following troubleshooting does not lead to success, you are welcome to contact support.

If you have problems logging in, first try to log in to buildagil in an incognito mode / private window of your browser.

Microsoft Edge: InPrivate browsing

Google Chrome: Incognito mode

Apple Safari: Private browsing in Safari

Troubleshooting if user name does not exist

If, when accepting the invitation or trying to log in, the message "This username may not be correct. Make sure you have entered the name correctly. Otherwise, please contact your administrator." appears, it is most likely because you do not have a Microsoft account and cannot create one yourself. Please contact your IT support so that they can create an appropriate account in your tenant, or contact our support team.

Troubleshooting for user not found

If the error message "Unfortunately, "e-mail address" was not found in the "buildagil.sharepoint.com" directory" or "Unfortunately, we cannot log you in" appears, this can have various causes.

The following sections describe ways to rectify this discrepancy:

  • Invitation from buildagil was not accepted
  • Changes in the Microsoft account
  • Wrong Microsoft account used
  • No access to the project

Invitation from buildagil was not accepted

The platform cannot be accessed if the invitation from buildagil has not yet been accepted. The invitation is accepted by clicking on the link in the invitation email from buildagil. The following article describes how to accept invitations: Accepting the invitation

Changes in the Microsoft account

The following message may appear if adjustments have been made to your Microsoft account:

"Sorry, we cannot log you in. AADSTS50020: User account 'email@provider.com' from identity provider 'provider.com' does not exist in tenant 'buildagil' and cannot access the application '00000003-0000-0ffl-ce00-000000000000' (Office 365 SharePoint Online) in that tenant. The account needs to be added as an external user in the tenant first. Sign out and sign in again with a different Azure Active Directory user account. "

In this case, please contact Support.

Wrong Microsoft account used

If the wrong login is used for buildagil, projects cannot be accessed. Please note that the email address with which you receive notifications from buildagil is used for the login.

The login with the correct account can be executed as follows:

First click on the link in the message to log in with another account.

A message then appears stating that the browser window can be closed. You can now call up buildagil again to use a different account. You can then log in as usual.

If this does not help, you can also try to delete the cache in the Internet browser. You can find more information in the following article: Empty browser cache

No access to the project

If a link is forwarded by buildagil, it may reach a person who is not registered as a user of the project. So if you click on a link that does not come directly from buildagil and the error message appears, you most likely do not have access to the project. Contact the sender of the link regarding access to the data.

Troubleshooting when signing in to the mobile app with a private Microsoft account

When trying to log in to the mobile app with a private Microsoft account, the login window loads indefinitely if the login is done via "Face recognition, fingerprint, PIN or security key". A login dialog is not displayed.

The reason for this is that this login method is not supported. Therefore, the page in the app does not load. Instead, you can switch to the password or authenticator method. If the options "Use my password" or "Initiate request using my Microsoft app" are not displayed when logging in, it may help to remove the "Use master key" method in the Microsoft account settings. You can find more information in the following article: Removing a login verification method.
