Preparation and execution of controls & inspections
Preparation of the control / acceptance protocol
The protocol is used for the structured preparation of controls & inspections. It is made up of individual elements in which the relevant control points or acceptance criteria are defined, for example for safety inspections, quality inspections or factory acceptance tests. These elements form the basis for execution on location and enable the creation of digital checklists. They are then processed step by step during the appointment and automatically appear in the printed protocol. You can find out how to create a control / inspection in the following article: Creation of controls & inspections.
The following elements are available:
- Heading
- Title (subordinate to the headings)
- Description ( with pictures & documents)
- Text field
- Selection (simple)
- Selection (multiple)
- Date
- Date and time
- Persons
- Photos & videos
- Tasks & journal entries

The individual control points or acceptance criteria are defined in these elements. This allows digital checklists to be created that can be processed directly during the inspection. The preparation of the protocol enables uniform execution and complete documentation on the construction site. The following example shows how the elements can be used for a building inspection:

Elements or entire sections that are not required can be hidden. They then appear gray and compact and are not displayed in the printed protocol.

Elements can be shown/hidden directly via the element options.

For headings and titles, the entire section can also be hidden using the option. For headings, all sections up to the next heading are hidden; for titles, all sections up to the next title or heading are hidden.

Execution of controls & inspections
During execution, the prepared fields are filled in step by step directly on location. Single or multiple selections can be made, texts added, images and videos uploaded and the date and time recorded. Tasks & journal entries can also be created or existing entries added. For example, you can document whether a defect previously recorded as a journal entry has been rectified. This makes it clear which points have been checked, whether further measures are necessary and what the current status on location is. Once the control or inspection has been completed, the printed protocol is generated, checked by the participants and then approved.
