Managing Your Microsoft Account
A Microsoft account is required to access buildagil. This account is managed by the user or the user's organization, not by buildagil. It is the same account used for Office products such as Outlook and Word. The following section describes how to reset the password.
Forgot your password?
If you no longer know the password to access buildagil, you must reset it through the corresponding Microsoft account. The process differs depending on whether you are using a personal Microsoft account or a Microsoft 365 account. Only the person in question or their organization can reset the password.
Reset your password using your personal Microsoft account
This section covers the scenario in which a personal Microsoft account (e.g., for personal Outlook addresses) is used. The password can be reset via the "Recover your account" page on the Microsoft website. During this process, your identity is verified using alternative contact information, such as an email address or phone number.

A security code will be sent to one of the email addresses or phone numbers on file.

If the email does not appear in your inbox, please check your spam folder. If you do not receive a message, you can use an alternative verification method.

After successful verification, you can set a new password and use it to log in to buildagil.

Reset Password Using a Microsoft 365 Account
If you're using a Microsoft 365 account—that is, an account managed by your organization—you can reset your password directly on the sign-in page using the "Forgot your password?" option.

After selecting this option, a security code will be sent to the contact method on file (e.g., phone number or email address).

Enter the code you received to verify your identity.

You can then set a new password and use it to log in to buildagil.

Troubleshooting Password Reset Issues
If the error message "You cannot reset your own password because password reset has not been properly configured for your organization" appears when you try to reset your password, you cannot reset the password yourself.

In this case, please contact your IT representative. They can reset your password. The following section describes two possible solutions for having the IT department reset your password:
- The organization can enable the self-service password reset feature so that employees can reset their passwords on their own. Instructions for enabling self-service can be found at the following link: Enabling Self-Service.
- A Microsoft tenant administrator can reset the password directly through Microsoft Entra ID. Step-by-step instructions can be found here: Reset Password by Administrator.
