Message center
Messages are displayed centrally in the message center so that all relevant information is clearly and quickly accessible. The message center can be opened via Menu navigation.
- Settings for messages & notifications
- Filter settings
- Search function

The message center contains all messages that have been received or sent. This includes messages about new tasks assigned, comments on tasks & topics, notes on the due date of tasks, invitations to meetings, requests to check minutes and other relevant information.
Central notifications, task comments, log check, session notifications, task due dates, automatic notifications, buildagil messages
Filter & search messages
The messages can be further narrowed down using the filter and the search. The filters differentiate between unread, open, edited, sent and all messages. This improves clarity and makes it easier to search for specific information.
- Unread: Only unread messages are displayed
- Open: Unread and open messages are displayed
- Edited: Edited or archived messages are displayed
- Sent: All outgoing messages are displayed
- All: All messages are displayed, regardless of their status (open, edited or sent)

Messages can be searched using the search function. Several keywords can be entered in the search bar, whereby the order of the words does not play a role. Information such as subject, content, sender, recipient and other details are searched. If the filter "All" is set, the search is applied to both incoming and outgoing messages.

Editing messages
The messages can be edited in various ways. Clicking on a message opens the associated element, for example a task. A message can be marked as read via the message icon. When a message is opened, the status automatically changes to read. The tick symbol marks a message as edited, which removes it from the view of open messages.

Settings for messages & notifications
The following settings can be made.
- Messages can be marked as read or edited
- The display time for messages can be extended from 60 to 120 days
- You can select which types of messages are displayed in the message center. You can choose between assignments, comments, reminders when tasks are due or for session preparation. Assignments are messages that are sent when an element is entered as "responsible" or "for collaboration", when test steps are transferred for Test tasks and when tasks are completed. The "Message & immediate notification" option is activated by default.
- You can set which channels should be used to notify you of new messages (email or push notifications).
System info & invitations, protocols & approvals and buildagil notifications are activated by default and cannot be deactivated. This ensures that important information is always displayed. The options are displayed for reasons of transparency.

The email notifications can be limited to meeting and acceptance logs or deactivated completely. These messages are then only displayed in the buildagil message center. Further information on push notifications can be found in the following article: Push notifications.

Summarized notifications
If the "Message & summarized notification" option is set when receiving assignments, comments and reminders for task due dates and session preparation, a summary of the notifications is sent by email at 06:00 and 12:30.

This mail contains all unread notifications that are unread at the time of sending and are not already included in a previous summary. Push notifications are also summarized if the "Messages & summarized notification" option is activated.

Troubleshooting for blocked e-mail notifications
If email notifications from buildagil end up in the spam folder or are blocked by the mail filter, the domain "@buildagil.com" should be whitelisted. As the sender address can change, it is recommended that the entire domain rather than individual addresses be approved.
