Open Office documents via the mobile app
Enable access to the Office apps
To open Office files such as Word, Excel or PowerPoint directly from the buildagil mobile app, a one-time connection between the Office app and buildagil is first required. This requires the same e-mail address that is used for the Microsoft login to buildagil. The Office apps can be installed via the Apple Store (IOS) or the Google Playstore (Android). After logging in to one of the Office apps, a new SharePoint account can be integrated using the "Add storage account" role.
The "URL of the SharePoint site" option is selected for this purpose.
The following link can then be inserted: https://buildagil.sharepoint.com/docs
As soon as this step is completed, a folder with the name "docs" appears in SharePoint. As soon as the connection has been established, all Office documents from buildagil are also directly available in the respective Office app. Re-synchronization is not necessary as access is automatic.
Open Office files via the buildagil mobile app
As soon as the Office app has been connected to buildagil, Office files can be opened directly via the buildagil mobile app. To do this, simply tap on the corresponding Word, Excel or PowerPoint icon in the document overview or open the document using the options in the desired Office app. The file is automatically opened in the corresponding Office app. You can find more information in the following article: Create & edit documents.
