Microsoft account management


A Microsoft account is required for access to buildagil. This account is managed by the user themselves or by the user's organization and not by buildagil. It is the same account that is used for Office products such as Outlook and Word. The following section describes how to reset the password.

buildagil does not manage passwords.

Forgotten password


If the password for access to buildagil is no longer known, it must be reset via the corresponding Microsoft account. The procedure differs depending on whether a personal Microsoft account or a Microsoft 365 account is used. Resetting is only possible by the person concerned or their organization.

Reset password with personal Microsoft account


This section deals with the case where a personal Microsoft account (e.g. For private Outlook addresses) is used. The password can be reset via the Microsoft page Restore account. The identity is confirmed using alternative contact information such as an email address or telephone number.



A security code is sent to one of the stored e-mail addresses or telephone numbers.



If the corresponding e-mail is not displayed in the inbox, the spam e-mail folder should be checked. If no message arrives, an alternative confirmation method can be used.



After successful verification, a new password can be assigned and used to access buildagil.



Reset password with Microsoft 365 account


If a Microsoft 365 account is used, i.e. An account that is managed by the organization, the password can be reset directly on the login page using the Forgot password option.



After selecting this option, a security code is sent to the stored contact method (e.g. Telephone number or e-mail address).



The code received is entered for verification.



A new password can then be set and used to log in to buildagil.



Troubleshooting when resetting the password


If it is not possible to reset the password, this role has been deactivated by the organization. In this case, the password cannot be reset independently.



In this case, please contact your IT contact person. They can reset your password. The following section describes two possible solutions as to how the password can be reset by IT:

The organization can activate the self-service for resetting passwords so that collaborators can reset their passwords themselves. Instructions for activating the self-service can be found at the following link: Activation of self-service.
