Advantages of model sections

Model sections are views of a model that can be saved and inserted into tasks, topics, journal entries and comments.
When a model section is opened, the model from which the section originates opens in the view in which the section was created.
Model sections can be used to go directly to the correct view in the model.
Important

Create model sections

Model sections can be created directly in the desired model and then copied to journal entries, tasks and comments.

When the desired model is open, you can navigate to the view that is to be saved in the model section. Created dimensions and cuts are also saved in the section.
You can then click on Create model section in the toolbar.

A window then opens in which the image of the section can be edited.
After editing, click on Copy.

The model can be closed and the desired task opened.
The excerpt can now be inserted into the description or into a new comment.
The model section can be inserted using the key combination Crtl + V.

In addition to the model sections, BCF / model tasks can also be created. Model tasks also contain model sections.
Further information on the model tasks can be found in the following article: Create BCF / model tasks
