The integration of Solibri and buildagil offers numerous advantages as it combines the powerful roles of Solibri such as collision checking, rule-based review, quality control, classification and data evaluation with the efficient project coordination of buildagil. Solibri also offers the possibility to create BCF / model tasks. Through the integration, IFC models and BCF / model tasks can be seamlessly synchronized between Solibri and buildagil. This allows users of buildagil to benefit from Solibri's extensive control and evaluation functions to improve the quality of their models and minimize errors.

The models on Solibri are copies of the models on buildagil. The following section describes how new versions of a model can be automatically transferred to Solibri.
When a new version of a model is uploaded to buildagil, it can be automatically transferred to Solibri.
To automatically transfer new model versions to Solibri, proceed as follows:
The type of update can be selected for each model under File / Update models....
Automatically: As soon as a new version of the model is saved on buildagil, the model is automatically transferred to Solibri.
Confirm: As soon as a new version of the model is saved on buildagil, a message appears. The model will not be updated until the message has been confirmed.
Please note that it can take up to 5 minutes for new versions to be recognized and updated.
Confirm message:
If the Confirm update method has been selected, the following message appears at the bottom right of Solibri. Click on the message to load the new version of the models from buildagil.
BCF / model tasks can be exchanged between buildagil and Solibri.
To synchronize the model tasks, a model must be open in Solibri.
As described in the following section, a model can be selected directly from buildagil:
Exchange models
Alternatively, models can be downloaded from buildagil and opened in Solibri. Changes to models in buildagil are not displayed in Solibri in this way.
Once the model has been loaded, the BCF Live Connector can now be activated under BCF Live View.
A window will then open. Under Server click on +.
Enter name (freely selectable)
Select buildagil as server
Enter the URL https://api.buildagil.com (is normally entered automatically).
Click on OK.
You will then be redirected to the Microsoft login page. Execute the Registration there.
You can then select the desired project under Projects and click on Start synchronization.
After the successful connection, all model tasks of the selected project are displayed in the BCF Live view.
The last step is to set which model in Solibri belongs to which model in buildagil.
This setting is necessary so that the location of model sections and model tasks is transferred correctly and the new tasks refer to the correct model.
To set this, click on File Sync in the BCF live view.
A window then opens in which the loaded models can be assigned to the corresponding models in buildagil.
After all loaded models have been assigned, click OK.
When working with buildagil and Solibri, it makes sense to save the model compositions and settings. This saves all the settings described in the previous sections. In addition, all reviews and evaluations carried out with Solibri are saved.
To save the model compositions and settings, click on Save model as... under File.
The storage location can then be selected. If the buildagil project is synchronized with OneDrive, the model compilation can be saved directly to buildagil via OneDrive.
The model compilation is thus available to all authorized persons in the project and can be opened directly from buildagil in Solibri using the Open in app role.
For more information on opening documents with local programs, see the following article: Open documents & folders via OneDrive
