What are Controls & Inspections?

Controls and inspections provide the opportunity to prepare and carry out a structured construction control and work inspection with various checkpoints according to the prepared sequence.

Creating Controls & Inspections

To create a new control / inspection, you can click on + New under Controls & Inspections.

Fill in the following information and then click Save:
Title
Categories
Date, time, and duration
Location
Organizer (can edit and supplement the protocol)
Additional editors (same rights as the organizer)
Participants
Excused individuals
Supplementary distribution list (external contacts who should receive the protocol)

Controls and inspections can also be loaded from a template. This is described in more detail in the following article: Inspection Templates

Preparing Control / Inspection protocol

The protocol can be supplemented by arbitrary entries / elements via + Element.

The following fields can be used to structure and prepare the control / inspection:
Heading
Title (subordinate to headings)
Description (incl. attachments and documents)
Text field
Single selection
Multiple selection
Date
Date and time
Pictures and videos
Tasks and journal entries

Using these elements, controls and inspections can be efficiently prepared and carried out. The individual checkpoints are defined in the elements and can then be worked through and processed during the construction inspection.
An example of how the elements can be used for a construction inspection is shown below:

Execute Control / Inspection

During execution, the gray fields can now be supplemented with information.
As in the following example, selections can be made, pictures can be uploaded, journal entries and tasks can be created, date and time can be chosen, and texts can be written.

Generating Control / Inspection protocol

The protocol of the Inspection can now be generated as a Word file.
To do this, click on Generate protocol in the desired Inspection.

The protocol is now opened in Word and can be printed and sent from there.

For adjustments to the protocol template, you can contact the buildagil support.

Checking and Approving the Protocol

This functionality is currently not available.

Hiding / Showing Elements and Sections

It is possible to hide elements or entire sections if they are not needed in the current inspection.
When hiding, the elements are displayed in gray and compact. Hidden elements do not appear in the printed protocol.

Hide Element:
To hide individual elements, click on Hide / Show.

Hide Section:
To hide an entire section, click on Hide / Show at headings and titles and then click on Hide section.
For a heading, everything is hidden until the next heading.
