||| This feature is a preview version. Therefore, it may not behave as expected, or it may change before its general release.

| For more information on creating journal entries, see the following article: [Creating Journal Entries](/en/article/creating-journal-entries-1ril5ml/).

### Direct Voice Input
A [Journal entry](https://knowledge.buildagil.com/en/article/overview-of-journal-entries-1qu52fn/) can be entered via voice command using the microphone, allowing information to be captured more quickly and without manual input. Information such as title, classification, categories, description, involved company, responsible party, or due date is automatically assigned to the appropriate fields using artificial intelligence (AI).

Existing information—such as that provided by a template or carried over from a previous entry—is taken into account and will not be overwritten, unless explicitly indicated. If there are placeholders in the title or lists in the description, the AI will attempt to fill in these formatting elements. If the responsible person is recognized, the associated company will also be filled in automatically. Multiple voice recordings can be made one after another. When making another recording, the information already captured is taken into account, allowing the journal entry to be supplemented step by step.

| For optimal results, the recording time should not exceed one minute. For the best results, it is also recommended that you speak in the standard language rather than in a dialect (e.g., High German instead of Swiss German).

### Voice Memo in the Mobile App
In the mobile app, you can record a voice memo as part of the description and have it transcribed later. This allows you to enter data even while offline on the construction site.

The "Transcribe" option lets you choose whether the transcript should be included only in the description or applied to the entire journal entry.

When applied to the entire journal entry, existing information is supplemented, unless the voice memo explicitly states that a field should be replaced—for example, in the case of responsibility. If an error occurs during transcription, the voice memo is retained and the transcription can be restarted.

### Language Settings
For voice input, the language stored in [(7c95f78f-3e97-4878-9f5f-9b9cf98240824082)] is used. However, the spoken language will be used for content generation. For example, if you speak German while your language settings are set to English, content will be generated in German. If you speak Swiss German, your personal language setting will apply.
