# PDF Editing with Bluebeam

### Editing with Bluebeam
Clicking the **Edit in PDF app** button opens the selected document in Bluebeam.

To edit the document, you must first check it out. To do this, click the **lock icon** and then click **Check Out**.
Other users cannot edit the document while it is checked out.

Once you have completed editing the document, you can close it. The following message will then appear; you must click **Check In** to save the document to buildagil.

Users who try to edit a document that has already been checked out will see the following message.

### Message for Borrowed/Checked-Out PDF Documents
Users who want to edit a borrowed or checked-out document will see the following message in buildagil and will not be able to save the document.

In OneDrive, a lock icon appears next to checked-out documents.

### Troubleshooting Issues When Opening PDF Documents
Sometimes, when opening PDFs in Bluebeam, the "Sign in to SharePoint" dialog box may appear. However, nothing happens after signing in.

Possible solution:
Open the settings in Bluebeam using "CTRL + K," and then, under the "User Interface" option, completely remove all connections to buildagil.

You can also check whether the authentication mode in the Bluebeam settings under "SharePoint Options" can be changed to "Authentication at Web Login."
