# Installing the buildagil Opener

The buildagil Opener is a utility for Microsoft Windows that is used to connect buildagil to local PDF programs, to open documents and folders via OneDrive, and to create shortcuts. In the following articles, you can learn more about the roles of the buildagil Opener:

| The buildagil Opener is not available for Mac OS.

### Installation
You can download the buildagil Opener using the following link: [Buildagil Opener](https://downloads.buildagil.com/tools/opener).

| If the download does not start automatically, right-click the link and select "Open in a new tab."

Open the downloaded file and click "Install."

After installation, click "Close."

This completes the installation.

### Troubleshooting
If the buildagil Opener cannot be installed or used, you can try installing an alternative version of the Opener using the following link.
The alternative installation offers the same functionality. It may be that the execution of the installation can only be performed by an administrator or the internal IT department if users are not allowed to install programs on their own.
