Retrieving and Analyzing Data from Files Using Power Query
Data from various sources can be integrated into and analyzed in Excel or Power BI using Power Query. Typically, these are file formats such as CSV, XLS, PDF, or IFC that are saved in buildagil. These and other supported formats can be linked and analyzed directly without having to be saved locally. The following guide provides an example of how files stored in buildagil can be integrated into Microsoft Excel using Power Query.
First, copy the link to the desired file.
In Excel, the link is inserted using the "From the Web" function.
To do this, you must modify the URL by removing the extension up to the filename and replacing "app.buildagil" with "buildagil.sharepoint."
After pasting the link into the dialog box, you will be prompted to sign in with your buildagil account.
In the preview, you can now select the desired items and import them into Excel by closing the window and clicking "Load."

Analyzing IFC Files in Power BI
To analyze IFC files in Power BI, you need a parser that converts the IFC structure into a tabular format. Only then can PowerQuery process the data. The following tool offers a possible solution: Power BI IFC Viewer. It allows you to analyze IFC files saved in buildagil directly.
